“While the meeting I participated in turned out to be a ruse, I made statements during the course of the meeting that are counter to NPR’s values and also not reflective of my own beliefs. I offer my sincere apology to those I offended,” – Ron Schiller
Thinking he was talking to two men from a Muslim organization, Schiller called the Tea Party movement “racist”, “xenophobic” and that “They believe in sort of white, middle America, gun-toting — it’s scary. They’re seriously racist, racist people.”
So, Ron, if these views are not reflective of your own beliefs, why did you say them to what you thought was a Muslim group? If you do not mean what you said, then why were you so explicit, so detailed, in planting the seed in these supposed Muslim’s minds that the Tea Party, is, well, dangerous to non-whites?
Shame on you.
